Pressure Free, Personal, Team Publishing
EnerPower Press provides team publishing. What is team publishing? It is:
- Pressure Free
In fact, we will look at all means of publishing that are available to you, and only suggest a contract if it is the best option for your book.
If you have a print-ready manuscript, go to one of the many paid publishing outlets available. A quick search on the web will reveal a number of paid publishing operations (XulonPress.com and WestBowPress.com, for example, though we do not endorse any particular option). In addition, you have the option of Amazon’s CreateSpace. Why do we mention these other options? Because if they fit your needs better, we want you to go there. Really! Our program is not for everyone.
- Fully featured
Do you have a book that needs substantial editing and proofreading? Do you have graphics you don’t know how to handle? Would you like finer control over the interior? Do you despise generic covers? Talk to us.
- Detailed process and options
Advance copies, press releases, seeking endorsements, web site, flyers, marketing. We’ll work with you. The amount that we do, and the amount you do is entirely negotiable. That’s what team means.
- Quality controlled
Manuscripts must meet minimum quality and content standards. Yes, we will reject paid publishing projects if they cannot be brought up to our minimum standards. If you’re a buyer or a dealer, you can buy with confidence. Unlike standard paid publishing, the manuscripts submitted must meet our standards for quality, so that we can truly stand behind them in the market.
In short, while the publishing process may be a bit different and these books may be out of the mainstream, they will look good, meet good proofreading standards, and they will meet specific content standards.
The bottom line on either self-publishing or paid publishing is that authors rarely sell as many copies as they think they will. In general, they sell less.
Most people who are looking at paid publishing options are uncertain how to self-publish. Generally that means accepting a generic package from a paid publishing outlet. You will have limited control over the process. That’s where team publishing comes in. We will work with you as a team to produce a quality product both in content and in appearance.
There are several reasons that are not good reasons to submit your manuscript to EnerPower Press for team publishing:
- Your manuscript has been rejected for poor quality.
- Your manuscript has unacceptable contact, such as pornography or hate speech.
- You are unwilling to meet appropriate standards of fact-checking and documentation.
There are several reasons that are good:
- You have a quality manuscript that will reach a niche market
- You would prefer to take the risk yourself by paying costs up front and receiving more royalties.
- You like greater control over the process.
- You are producing a special event or fundraising project, such as a pictorial report or a cookbook.
If you need team publishing for one of these reasons, we’re ready to talk. If you would like more information on how the team publishing concept used here was developed, you’ll find the history here.
