What more compelling reason can be given for caring about the Jewish roots of our faith than that Jesus was and is Jewish? He is the Jewish Messiah promised to the Jewish people and to the whole world. He was born, lived, died, was raised from the dead in Israel, and He is returning to Israel to reign over all the earth! His bride, the Church, will be by His side.
Christians should rejoice in their identity as the “Bride of Christ.” And what bride is not interested in her husband’s people, his culture, the home he grew up in, his brothers and sisters?… (p. 5)
