Wisdom & Authors

It could be argued that wisdom is in short supply in those who are speaking into microphones these days. In the Bible, we find James making this statement:

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5 NIV)

In the past few years, as an editor at Energion Publications, I enjoy the “perk” of reading some good books! Do I agree with what everyone writes? Of course not! But even those passages I disagree with, I learn something from a new perspective as I go back to Scripture and consider why I believe the way I do.

Ronald Higdon has given us some wonderful books to produce since he became a part of Energion. The last three books have been good for me to read in – three years! If you are looking for God’s peace, His wisdom in these days, I suggest you read one or more of these books: Building Bridges in a World of Crumbling Connections: The Forgotten Calling That Belongs to All of Us (2022), Wonder Where All the Wonder Went? Clues to Finding Wonders in This World (2021), Finding Stability in Uncertain Times: Some Things That Hold Firm When Everything Seems to Be Falling Apart (2020).
