Book Release: A Story of Jesus’ Life

Energion Publications is pleased to announce the release of A Story of Jesus’ Life: Based on the Apocryphal Gospels. This book is neither a study of the various apocryphal gospels, nor is it a defence of or an attack on those gospels. Rather, it is an orderly story of what the life of Jesus would look like if we based our knowledge on those gospels.

For many, knowledge about the apocryphal gospels comes in various short references or extracts, especially when used to support one theory or another regarding the life of Jesus. Alternatively, one may encounter lists of crazy things intended to convince the reader that these books are not of any value, either historically or theologically.

But what do they actually say?

Authors Thomas W. Hudgins and Antonio Piñero, both well-versed in New Testament scholarship, combined to create this story from the puzzle pieces available. While it is presented in story form, the text is heavily footnoted to the particular gospel in which the material can be found.

This book can be extremely helpful to those who just want to get a flavor of gospels other than the four canonical ones, but it also can be quite helpful for those doing research.
