Our New Educational Publicity Groove
— Henry Neufeld, owner of Energion Publications
Things are changing rapidly here at Energion Publications and one of the key areas combines education with publicizing books.
There are a number of ways you can get involved and benefit from these new programs. If you’re an author or editor, you will very shortly (as in minutes from when I post this) get an e-mail from me outlining these options. But there are many ways that people who are not on our author list can both benefit and participate.
Our mission here is to educate, energize, and empower the church. The whole church, not just those who write books for us. So get involved. We don’t even mind if books published by other companies get sold!
Here are some of the things that are developing.
Energion Discussion Network
Energion author Steve Kindle is editing this site and we have quite a number of authors participating already. I think there will be some lively debate on the site. I certainly hope there will be.
In these early days it’s vital to get behind this and push. So if you’re involved with Energion in any way, as author, reader, or casual passer-by, please follow the link to the Energion Discussion Network. Read, enjoy, comment. I’ve seen a number of comments that would make good blog posts.
And that’s a great idea. Blog on the same topic on your own site and link back to us. Comment and provide a link to your blog post in it. Just make sure that you say something related. This isn’t a venue for spam. But if you’ve written something substantive on the topic, no problem! Help us spread the word and we can help you.
Global Christian Perspectives
Energion author Elgin Hushbeck, Jr. (from the right) and Enerigon associate editor Chris Eyre (from the left) co-host this Google Hangout on Air every Friday at 1 pm central time. You can find out about this afternoon’s event on the Google+ Event Page. If you’d like to be considered as a participant, e-mail me and tell me why. It will be helpful if I already know you as a commenter on the Energion Discussion Network!
Tuesday Night Hangout
On this show I, or a guest host, interview authors and panels either about their books or about topics of interest. This happens every Tuesday night as 7 pm central time. Next week we’ll have Elgin Hushbeck, Jr. as a guest host, interviewing Kevin Brown, author of Rite of Passage for the Home and Church. You’ll see links posted on this site.
Thank you for your interest in and involvement with Energion Publications.
